Description
The ELER 2023-2027 funding program: Slope Stabilization supports companies and cooperatives in Styria as well as in Vienna in investments for the preventive stabilization of landslide-prone slopes in vineyard, orchard, and specialty crop landscapes. Within the framework of the national CAP strategy 2023-2027, measures are funded that serve environmental and nature conservation, climate protection, and sustainable rural development while simultaneously strengthening infrastructure. Particularly, operators of agricultural and forestry enterprises as well as agricultural communities benefit from this continuously running grant program, which aims to better protect the population and habitats from natural hazards such as landslides and to minimize long-term damage.
50% of the investment costs for preventive slope stabilization are funded; expenses for the acquisition of land are excluded. A prerequisite for approval includes, among other things, the presence of the water law permit according to WRG 1959 in its currently applicable version as well as any necessary nature conservation permits. Projects are selected nationwide according to a uniform evaluation scheme based on slope inclination, type of agricultural enterprise, and legal status of the project area. Applications can be submitted continuously from 01.01.2023 to 31.12.2027 and offer a reliable financing perspective for measures that promote climate resilience, biodiversity, and energy efficiency in hillside areas.
