Description
Else Kröner Fellowship in the German Student Scholarship offers committed upper secondary school students nationwide a unique preparation for medical studies or training in the medical field. Funded by the Roland Berger Foundation in cooperation with the Else Kröner-Fresenius Foundation, the scholarship is aimed at participants from partner schools of the Roland Berger Foundation. Within a practice-oriented curriculum, the fellows have the opportunity to deepen their scientific knowledge in specialized seminars and gain diverse insights into clinical and scientific processes in skills labs and research institutions.
A key focus lies on targeted study and test preparation: a specially developed TMS training format, a multi-part webinar series “Medical Study Orientation,” and regular online consultation hours with medical students, physicians, and researchers support the application phase. Furthermore, the scholarship holders benefit from individual mentoring by volunteer tutors who, as physicians or scientists, provide advice and support. Participation requires attendance at a partner school of the Roland Berger Foundation, proof of a firm commitment to a medical career, and enrollment in the upper secondary level. The program makes an important contribution to optimally supporting motivated students – especially first-generation academics – and sustainably paving the way to medical studies. Interested parties can find further information and application details on the Roland Berger Foundation’s website.
