Funding objective
Energy saving contracting projects and heat generation plant contracting projects are funded through non-repayable grants to increase energy efficiency and the use of renewable energy sources. In addition, the program includes the planning and construction of street lighting in accordance with the "Austrian Outdoor Lighting Guide" within the framework of an energy saving contracting project.

Description
The Energy Contracting Program (ECP) of the state of Upper Austria supports projects related to energy savings contracting and heat generation systems contracting with non-repayable grants from 01.01.2024 to 31.12.2026. Funding is provided for investments to increase energy efficiency as well as for heat generation systems that predominantly use renewable energy sources. Within the framework of savings contracting projects, the funding also includes the planning and construction of street lighting in accordance with the "Austrian Guide for Outdoor Lighting." The goal is the sustainable reduction of energy consumption, the use of renewable energies, and the strengthening of climate protection in Upper Austria.
Eligible contracting recipients are primarily small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) as well as public bodies that have concluded a valid contracting agreement with a contractor. A prerequisite for granting funding is proof of this contract, the use of contracting as a financing instrument, and the submission of the application before the project start via the Upper Austrian Energy Saving Association. Eligible expenses include investment costs for savings and heat generation systems contracting. For the application, the application form LWLD-Wi/E-52 and the ECP Program Guidelines 2024–2026 are required. Applications can be submitted until 31.12.2026 to benefit from the state funding for energy efficiency and climate protection.
