Description
Throughout Austria, this funding supports building-related investment measures that sustainably reduce the final energy consumption in facilities of rescue organizations. Eligible applicants are recognized rescue organizations – excluding fire brigades – as well as natural and legal persons in whose buildings aid and rescue facilities (e.g., mountain rescue, water rescue) are located. The focus areas are energy efficiency & renewable energies as well as energy efficiency & climate protection. Funding is provided, among others, for thermal building renovations, the switch to climate-friendly heating systems (district heating, heat pumps, wood heating), energy-saving measures in lighting and ventilation including heat recovery, as well as energy-efficient cooling. Eligible costs include, in addition to the system itself, planning and installation. The grant thus enables a significant step towards resource-conserving rescue infrastructures.
A prerequisite for application is submission prior to the first legally binding order, delivery, or start of construction. Recognition as a rescue organization and – for an investment volume exceeding €500,000 – a report from the credit institution are as mandatory as the fully completed data sheet and, if applicable, supplementary documents according to the information sheet. Applications can be submitted via the online portal of Kommunalkredit Public Consulting GmbH from 01.01.2025 to 31.12.2050. After review by the experts of KPC, the awarding recommendation is made by the responsible commission. This funding offer is aimed at all those who actively wish to contribute to energy savings and climate protection in rescue facilities.
