- No legal entitlement to the granting of funding

Description
The funding program "Energy Saving in Businesses / Efficient Energy Use" of the Upper Austrian state government supports companies and organizations in Upper Austria in specifically unlocking energy efficiency potentials and switching to highly efficient technologies. Measures such as efficient energy use, natural gas combined heat and power, heat recovery in refrigeration and ventilation systems, as well as general energy-saving measures in businesses are funded. Eligible applicants are natural and legal persons, including commercial enterprises, associations, religious institutions, and municipalities, provided they are not already covered by other funding systems (agriculture or residential construction). This incentive aims not only to reduce operating costs but also to contribute to climate protection.
The grant is provided as a subsidy with a funding rate between 25 % and 55 %, depending on the company size and the SME surcharge. Approval requires a positive funding recommendation from Kommunalkredit Public Consulting GmbH, the presence of all official permits, and full compliance with the environmental funding guidelines in Upper Austria. Measures in agriculture, residential construction, self-built systems, prototypes, and used system components are excluded. Applications can be submitted from 01.01.2023 until 31.12.2026 and require the compilation of the federal online application as well as all official approvals. Selection is based on the incentive effect, technical criteria, and professional evaluation. There is no legal entitlement to funding, so the funding amount is awarded within the scope of available resources.
