Energy Saving Measures and Renewable Energy Sources

The program supports small and medium-sized enterprises headquartered or with project locations in Vorarlberg in investments in measures to increase energy efficiency and the use of renewable energy sources. Through a top-up grant of 30% on the already approved federal funding under the Environmental Support in Austria (UFI) scheme, applicants can access additional funds of up to €10,000 per project. The aim of the offer is to promote local energy autonomy as well as to achieve the overarching climate protection goals of the state. The processing is carried out continuously by Kommunalkredit Public Consulting GmbH, whereby the review of the state funding is automatically conducted as part of the federal application process, avoiding duplicate submissions.

A broad range of innovative technologies and measures are eligible for funding, including biomass microgrids, energy-saving measures in businesses, air conditioning and cooling, district heating connections, wood heating systems, heat pumps as well as thermal solar systems, thermal building renovations, and heat recovery. The funding rate of 30% refers to the eligible costs recognized under the UFI procedure. Eligible to apply are commercial enterprises of any legal form that meet the technical and formal requirements of the federal guidelines.
