Description
Energy Cut-Off Immediate Assistance Discretionary Guideline is aimed at households in the state of Brandenburg and provides a one-time grant to prevent or terminate imminent or already executed energy cut-offs due to current price increases in the energy markets. The measure by the Ministry of Social Affairs, Health, Integration and Consumer Protection (MSGIV) is implemented by the State Office for Social Affairs and Supply (LASV) and is available as an ongoing program. 100% of the expenses necessary to avert the supply cut-off are covered – the amount of funding corresponds exactly to the required sum per supply contract and meter point. Applications are submitted electronically via the LASV portal; no deadline is set.
Funding is provided to natural persons with primary residence in Brandenburg whose household net income does not exceed specified limits (€22,600 for the first adult member, €11,300 for each additional person aged 14 and over, €6,800 for children under 14) and who can present a written cut-off warning from their energy supplier. The assistance is explicitly targeted at private households in social and health-related distress. Through simple requirements and a digital application process, the guideline promises rapid aid for those affected and contributes to securing basic supply in difficult economic times.
