Description
The develoPPP Classic development partnership supports medium-sized and large companies in expanding their operational activities in developing and emerging countries. With grants of up to €2 million from funds provided by the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), investment projects are supported that establish sustainable value chains and strengthen local structures. The financial support is complemented by professional guidance from DEG Impulse gGmbH. As a non-profit subsidiary of DEG, it offers expertise in transformation projects and future markets as well as access to business support services and consulting offers from the Agency for Business & Development (AWE) and the Business & Human Rights Helpdesk.
Companies can submit applications at any time to consolidate their market presence on site while simultaneously promoting development goals. A prerequisite is a planned project in a developing or emerging country as well as an appropriate company size. The grant covers part of the investment costs and enables the implementation of innovative approaches in agriculture, rural development, corporate financing, and consulting. This program supports key development initiatives: from training local specialists to environmentally friendly production processes to climate-friendly business models. Through the combination of financial relief and professional expertise, develoPPP Classic makes a valuable contribution to sustainable economic and social development in partner countries.
