Description

The funding initiative “Experience World of Business” in cooperation with Creative Industries Styria supports Styrian manufacturing companies, business-related service providers, and creative enterprises (with at least 10 full-time equivalents) in making their production sites, workshops, and technologies accessible and engaging for a broad audience. In the concept phase, consulting and planning services (50% subsidy, max. €10,000) are funded for the development of visitor programs and virtual tours. In the implementation phase, creative services (50% funding rate, up to €30,000) as well as material and investment expenses (25% funding rate, up to €40,000) are eligible for funding – for example, safety and accessibility equipment, information and presentation media, training for guides, or digital applications. Companies can also refine already realized tours within the framework of the update phase with a 33% subsidy (up to €14,850).

The initiative aims to make innovations and technical developments visible, spark the interest of young people and potential skilled workers, and promote dialogue between business, education, and the public. The location in Styria, compliance with CIS quality criteria, and a commitment to transparency and safety are prerequisites. Applicants declare in the de minimis statement that they will not exceed the de minimis threshold of €300,000 within three years. Applications can be submitted via the SFG online portal (ID Austria) until 30 June 2027. The funding is paid out after project completion upon proof of eligible costs and fulfillment of structural and organizational requirements (including barrier-free construction according to ÖNORM B 1600/1601). This measure strengthens the Styrian economic location, creates transparency, and promotes sustainable retention of skilled workers.
