World of Business Experience

The "Experience World of Business" in Styria supports small and medium-sized manufacturing and service companies in implementing innovative visitor concepts as a "Transparent Factory." Funding is provided for consulting, concept, and creative costs as well as in-kind contributions and investments, enabling companies to make their operational processes and technologies transparently accessible to the public. A prerequisite is that companies share the project vision, continuously offer experience tours on the online platform, and actively participate in knowledge exchanges. Only companies headquartered in Styria are eligible to apply. The funding is granted as a non-repayable subsidy and can be applied for all eligible costs until the end of June 2027. Submissions are made electronically via the SFG portal.

The funding program aims to establish attractive, interactive company tours that provide visitors with direct insights into modern production processes and promote knowledge transfer between business, science, and society. Companies receive financial support for external experts and creative project implementations as well as for investments that enable barrier-free access and media preparation of the tours. The goal is to strengthen regional value creation and raise public awareness of industrial innovations. Department 12 of the Styrian Provincial Government – Economy, Tourism, Science, and Research – coordinates the program in close cooperation with the Styrian Business Promotion Agency (SFG) and ensures legally compliant administration.
