Reimbursement of Travel Expenses – Organized Transport Services

As part of an ongoing funding initiative by the Upper Austrian State Government, organized transportation services for people with disabilities are financially supported. The aim is to enable trips for medical treatments in accordance with § 9 Oö. ChG and for employment-related or capability-oriented measures pursuant to § 11 Oö. ChG. Full funding (100% subsidy) applies not only to the affected individuals but also includes accompanying persons, provided their presence is necessary or reasonable for the execution of the trips. Applications can be submitted at any time and without limitation as part of the application for main benefits according to § 8 para. 1 Oö. ChG (form SGD-So/E-35). Through centralized coordination and direct billing with the transportation services, efficient implementation is ensured, while the district administrative authorities handle the formal approval.

Eligible for funding are companies with a commercial license for taxis or rental cars and a correspondingly adapted fleet, acting as providers of in-kind services. Only travel costs for organized transportation services and necessary accompanying persons are funded; expenses for public transport or private car trips are excluded. Interested companies and authorized beneficiaries receive all relevant information in the guidelines for the Upper Austrian Equal Opportunities Act 2008. Due to the continuous submission possibility and full cost coverage, this program offers a reliable basis for promoting mobility and participation for people with disabilities in the social, health, and employment sectors.
