Description
The funding program supports Bavarian cities, municipalities, and municipal associations in the future-oriented planning of their drinking water and wastewater infrastructure. The focus is on the development of rehabilitation and structural concepts in accordance with the specifications of RZWas 2021 (No. 2.2.5), DWA-A 143, and DIN EN 14654-2. The goal is to secure public drinking water supply and wastewater disposal in the long term while simultaneously examining synergies with other pipeline-bound infrastructures such as gas, electricity, telephone, and broadband. The measure funds up to 70% of the expenses, but no more than €50,000 per municipality, covering both material and personnel costs for the concept development.
Submissions are continuously possible at the regionally responsible Water Management Office. A prerequisite is the submission of a completed funding application (Template 1a according to Art. 44 BayHO) as well as the rehabilitation and structural concepts according to DWA-A 143 and DIN EN 14654-2. The concept must be accepted by the local water management authority. Eligible expenses are those in accordance with the construction expenditure ledger after completion of the measure, minus the non-eligible items listed in RZWas 2021 (No. 5.3). The guideline offers municipalities and associations reliable grant financing to design infrastructure planning efficiently and sustainably and to make water supply and wastewater disposal future-proof throughout Bavaria.
