Description

Within the framework of an ongoing grant program, non-profit organizations in Vienna are supported in the implementation of key tasks related to adult protection law. The funding offer aims to ensure comprehensive care for particularly vulnerable adults by promoting court-appointed adult representation, patient advocacy, and resident representation in accordance with the Adult Protection Associations Act. Eligible for funding are associations with the corresponding suitability regulation issued by the Federal Ministry of Justice; funds are available from the time of application until the allocated budget is exhausted. Thematically, the funding covers the areas of social affairs as well as labor & social affairs and pursues the overarching goal of facilitating access to legal support and advice.

Expenses and services related to court-appointed adult representation, assessment efforts, information, counseling, and registration tasks, as well as explicitly the activities of patient advocates and resident representatives are supported. The grant provides the necessary resources to meet the high-quality standards required by law in representing persons in need of assistance. Financing is provided through direct grants from federal funds in accordance with the Federal Finance Act. A prerequisite for approval is the regulation of suitability as an adult protection association pursuant to § 1 ErwSchVG. This funding instrument contributes to reducing barriers to access to justice and ensures professional representation of interests for particularly vulnerable groups.
