ESF – Training Pathways NRW

“Training Paths NRW” is a statewide coaching and placement program of the state of North Rhine-Westphalia aimed at actively supporting young people on their way to dual vocational training. Participants who have not yet found an apprenticeship position are individually supported by professionally qualified coaches. The offerings range from targeted profiling and intensive search strategies to support during application processes and initial steps in vocational school and the workplace. Companies also benefit, as unfilled apprenticeship positions are filled more quickly and the supply of skilled workers is effectively secured. The program duration is 34 months, with a funding rate of 90 percent. For each coach position, up to 6,450 euros per month are provided in the form of standard unit costs for project work as well as a residual cost allowance to cover project-related expenses.

Coaching and placement activities by private individuals, companies, and non-profit organizations of any size are eligible for funding. Requirements include a valid AZAV certification as well as compliance with European regulations on equality and anti-discrimination. All natural and legal persons as well as partnerships are eligible to apply. Applications are submitted following the publication of the corresponding call via the ESF funding platform. In the application process, in addition to certification, a precise measure plan, a project description, and proof of qualifications must be submitted. Thanks to EU co-financing through the European Social Fund, “Training Paths NRW” combines tailored applicant coaching with sustainable support for companies and makes an important contribution to skilled labor development in North Rhine-Westphalia.
