Description
The ESF Funding Guideline Vocational Education – STEM Career Orientation in Hesse supports educational institutions, companies, non-profit and public organizations in developing and further advancing practical offerings for career orientation in the subjects of Mathematics, Computer Science, Natural Sciences, and Technology. With a grant covering personnel, material, and travel expenses, the program funds projects that introduce secondary school students early on to career prospects in the STEM field and provide training providers with innovative concepts for qualifying young people. The continuous application process during the funding period from 01.01.2021 to 31.12.2027 enables flexible project planning and implementation.
Applicants from Hesse must demonstrate the project location within the federal state and submit measures for STEM career orientation. The evaluation is based on the quality and practical relevance of the concept, impact orientation, and target group reach. Required are a detailed project description, a financing and cost plan, proof of sponsorship, as well as the usage report in the prescribed form. The Wirtschafts- und Infrastrukturbank Hessen (WIBank) acts as an intermediary body, supports applicants throughout the process, monitors the use of funds, and ensures financial monitoring. Through the combination of EU funds and state funding, the program contributes to strengthening STEM education in Hesse and opens up diverse career opportunities for young people.
