Description
The funding call for EU-UK Think-Tanks Engagement aims to intensify networking and collaboration between renowned think tanks and research institutes from the European Union and the United Kingdom. With a total budget of €2.4 million, initiatives are supported that advance well-founded policy analyses, research findings, and evidence-based policy recommendations in the fields of research & innovation, science, social cohesion, democracy, as well as labor & social affairs. Eligible applicants include public institutions, non-profit organizations, educational institutions, and individuals from EU member states and the United Kingdom who already regularly accompany political decision-making processes and make a sustainable contribution to the European discourse. Project submissions are made using standardized forms, including the Grant Application Form (Concept Note and Full Application), budget plan, logical framework, as well as additional annex documents and a self-evaluation on the topic of SEA-H.
An expert panel evaluates the applications based on the criteria of relevance and quality of the proposal, expected impact on policy and society, methodological approach, cost-efficiency, and added value of the EU-UK cooperation. The formal application deadline is 27 February 2026 at 11:00 a.m. (Brussels time); the call opened on 20 October 2025. The goal is to build transnational networks, create synergies, and provide policymakers with innovative, cross-border solution approaches. This grant offers a unique opportunity to strengthen the role of think tanks in the Europe-UK dialogue and to set long-term impulses for coherent, democratic EU policy.
