Description
The European Social Fund Plus (ESF+) in Hamburg supports projects with grants that sustainably improve the labor market situation, social protection, and inclusion in the Hanseatic city. Eligible for funding are companies, educational institutions, public bodies, interest groups, other associations, as well as private individuals. The continuously provided funds from the areas of vocational training & further education, employment, promotion of women, and social affairs support measures that increase access to employment and activation offers for job seekers, balance the employment participation of women and men, and strengthen the compatibility of work and family. Furthermore, adaptation and qualification processes for employees and companies in transition are supported, equal access to general and vocational education is promoted, lifelong learning is ensured, and active inclusion is advanced.
Interested project sponsors from Hamburg must submit a detailed concept including a cost and financing plan that takes into account the Charter of Fundamental Rights of the European Union as well as cross-sectoral gender equality, equal opportunities, and non-discrimination. A prerequisite is implementation in Hamburg and the participation of individuals residing or employed in the city. Projects can be funded for a period of up to 48 months; applications must be submitted continuously within the framework of current competitive procedures.
