Description

The program supports European video-on-demand networks and operators based in the EU that offer an extensive range of non-national European audiovisual works. The aim is to strengthen the competitiveness and attractiveness of the platforms through cross-border cooperation and to develop innovative business models. Funding is particularly targeted at small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) that seek to significantly increase the visibility, discoverability, and reach of European content through joint activities. In this way, new synergies are to be created and a sustainable, environmentally friendly development of the sector promoted, actively taking into account diversity, inclusion, and gender equality.

Applications are possible from 30.09.2025; the deadline is 08.04.2026, 17:00 (Brussels time). A prerequisite is proof of independence and control over the VOD platform as well as a program with a significant share of non-national EU works. The proposed projects should increase the online reach of European content and open up new audience segments through joint actions. The European Commission is providing a total budget of EUR 8 million in 2026 to promote cross-border activities and intensify the digital circulation of European productions. Detailed call documents and application forms are available for submission, explaining all administrative and content-related requirements. After the submission phase is completed, an expert evaluation will take place, followed by contract signing, expected in January 2027.
