Description

The Social Fund Vienna (FSW) supports mobile and semi-stationary care and support services for Vienna residents with regular personal or familial care and support needs through the call for proposals "Extramural Care and Support." Non-profit organizations and public institutions can apply for unlimited subsidies for services such as home nursing, home help, mobile palliative teams, extended daily assistance, meals on wheels, or visiting services. Additionally, assisted living communities and day centers are financially supported to ensure the individual quality of life of persons in need of care within their familiar environment. A prerequisite for funding is proof of care and support needs, a main residence or habitual residence in Vienna, as well as Austrian citizenship or equivalence according to § 7a WSHG. For the application, among other documents, registration certificates, social insurance numbers, proof of income and care allowance receipt, as well as copies of rent or operating costs must be submitted. For minors, birth certificates and custody documents must also be provided.

The funding amount is based on the actual care needs and the financial situation of the applicants. The FSW processes payments directly to the recognized service providers and charges an income-dependent cost contribution from the beneficiaries. Ongoing adjustments are possible in case of changed needs, income circumstances, or care allowance levels. Quality assurance is ensured through regular performance reports, documentation reviews, and—if necessary—home visits by FSW staff. Applications can be submitted at any time; there is no deadline, and funding decisions are made promptly after reviewing all documents. This offer strengthens the network of outpatient care and support services in Vienna and contributes to needs-based care for people requiring care and support.
