Description
The R&D Impulse SINGLE program supports SMEs according to the EU definition in Upper Austria and Salzburg that carry out innovative development projects together with research institutions (program line “easy2research”) or transfer already funded research results into marketable products and services (program line “easy2market”). Non-repayable grants are available between 01.01.2024 and 31.12.2026, providing an incentive for research- and innovation-driven initiatives. The goal is to strengthen the competitiveness of regional companies, promote cross-border cooperation between business and science, and secure sustainable value creation in the two federal states.
To apply for funding, the company must demonstrate its headquarters or a research location with personnel and infrastructure in Upper Austria or Salzburg and show orderly economic conditions. Eligible expenses include personnel costs, contracts with external service providers, as well as material and equipment costs. Memberships in the Upper Austrian Chamber of Commerce or the Chamber of Architects and Consulting Engineers for Upper Austria and Salzburg must be submitted by the time of approval. The complete project application (“easy2research” or “easy2market” including attachments) must be submitted to the Department of Economy and Research of the Office of the Upper Austrian State Government before the project start. Interested applicants will receive a detailed schedule, cost, and financing plan from the guideline of the state funding program R&D Impulse SINGLE.
