Description
The funding initiative Skilled Workers/Vocational Training (FLA) of the Social and Continuing Education Fund (SWF) supports commercial temporary employment agencies throughout Austria in the part-time preparation for the extraordinary final apprenticeship examination. An annual quota of 200 places is available primarily to temporary workers with interrupted or missing vocational training. The focus is on fields of metal and electrical engineering, but also on operational logistics and commercial training programs. The measure runs from 01.01.2023 to 31.12.2025 and includes a maximum project duration of 12 months. Funding covers course and examination costs, teaching materials, fees, as well as proportionate wage and salary costs during the training period. Prerequisites are the registration of the company in the SWF online portal, the conclusion of the SWF framework agreement, and an uninterrupted employment relationship of the participants throughout the entire training period. Any economic affiliation with the educational institution is excluded.
The application must be submitted via the SWF online portal; all documents must be fully uploaded no later than six months after completion of the skilled workers/vocational training. Required proofs include, among others, company register excerpt and trade license (for initial registration), data protection consent and insurance data extract of the temporary worker, employment contract as well as invoice and payment receipt from the training institution, participation confirmation, final apprenticeship examination certificate, and De-minimis declaration. The funding aims to develop qualified skilled workers who better meet the demands of the labor market in technical and commercial fields. Interested companies can find detailed information on funding guidelines and deadlines in the SWF online portal at www.swf-akue.at.
