Description

The factor m – the miriam Start-up Fund supports Christian-social, diaconal, and missionary projects nationwide that open up new perspectives for people in resignation or hopelessness. At the same time, the fund acts as seed financing for initiatives, groups, churches, and congregations that wish to implement meeting opportunities, educational programs, or inclusion measures for socially disadvantaged target groups. Funding is provided in the form of grants for acquisitions, room rental, and personnel costs (mini-job workers). Interested non-profit organizations can submit project ideas at any time, provided the project is not older than one year and there is no parallel funding from other private or public institutions.

For a successful application, a completed contact form, a meaningful project description, the indication of the desired funding amount, as well as reference letters and, if applicable, photos must be submitted. The trustworthiness and experience of the applicants, as well as the meaningfulness and feasibility of the project, are evaluated. After receipt of all documents, feedback on the funding decision – including the amount of the grant – will be provided. In this way, the fund makes an important contribution to commitment to social cohesion, democracy, as well as the support of children, youth, people with disabilities, and migrants.
