Facade Images of the Foundation for Environment and Development North Rhine-Westphalia

The Environmental and Development Foundation of North Rhine-Westphalia supports participatively developed facade murals on publicly accessible building facades in North Rhine-Westphalia through its program. The focus is on artistically high-quality designs that address themes of sustainable development and One World contexts. Eligible for funding are non-profit organizations, public institutions, educational establishments, as well as companies that wish to realize creative designs together with citizens and local stakeholders. A permanent presence of the installations is ensured by a maintenance commitment of at least five years, thereby promoting art in public spaces as a binding element of urban culture.

Applications can be submitted at any time and are granted as subsidies, with a formal proof of use required upon project completion.
