Description
The Research Institute for Philosophy Hannover is awarding two fellowships for a fixed-term research stay from October 1, 2026, to July 31, 2027. Funding is provided for research projects addressing ethically relevant questions in the field of philosophy or related humanities, cultural, and social science disciplines. The fellowship program is managed as a pure grant, providing a monthly stipend of €1,500 over ten months to cover living expenses. Additionally, fellows have access to a private office at the institute, free use of the institute’s guest rooms, support in acquiring specialized literature, and project-related academic supervision. The fellowships are primarily aimed at doctoral candidates and habilitation candidates with submitted or ongoing doctoral or habilitation projects who seek intensive exchange in an interdisciplinary environment.

Required are a one-page letter of motivation, a curriculum vitae, a publication list, a detailed project description including abstract and bibliography, as well as a reference letter following the official fiph template.
