Financial Support (Berlin Community Foundation)

The financial support from the Bürgerstiftung Berlin assists committed individuals, initiatives, and projects in Berlin and Brandenburg with straightforward grants. The goal is to strengthen social cohesion as well as educational and participation opportunities for children and young people. In particular, initiatives active in the areas of social affairs, education, children and youth, and vocational training are supported. The continuously open funding opportunities offer flexible financial contributions to implement individual measures promptly and to sustainably contribute to strengthening civic engagement.

Eligible to apply are individuals and groups residing in Berlin or Brandenburg, as well as school-based and extracurricular initiatives that align thematically with the Bürgerstiftung’s funds. The range extends from projects for violence prevention to music lessons for disadvantaged children, and scholarships for talents in culture, science, or sports. A prerequisite is belonging to one of the defined target groups and an interest in personal consultation. An appointment for a discussion is arranged upon request to individually coordinate funding goals, project outlines, and financial needs. The unlimited submission of applications enables tailored support that contributes to sustainable participation and equal opportunities in the region.
