Description
Financial Support for Integration-Promoting Measures in Lower Austria
In Lower Austria, non-profit organizations, public institutions, interest groups, associations, and companies have access to ongoing funding in the form of non-repayable grants to implement projects for the integration of people with a migration background permanently residing in the state. The goal is to initiate and sustainably anchor measures in the areas of dialogue, education, and coexistence locally. Projects are sought that are carried out by mixed sponsor groups (people with and without a migration background), strengthen social cohesion, and promote skills in language, labor market integration, or intercultural encounters. Applications can be submitted at any time but must be received at least six weeks before the project start date. The program provides clarity regarding responsibilities and selection criteria and supports the implementation of innovative concepts with exemplary character.
Application Details and Requirements
Only non-material project costs are eligible for funding; structural funding and individual operating resource projects are excluded. A broadly based financing through own contributions and third-party funds (federal government, EU funds, municipalities, sponsors) is required. Applicants must demonstrate how the project aligns with the integration guidelines of Lower Austria and makes a concrete contribution to participation. Required documents include the official funding application, a project description, a financial plan, an extract from the association register and statutes, and, if applicable, an audited annual financial statement for funding amounts of €10,000 or more. The contact person is the Finance Department F1 at the Office of the Lower Austrian State Government. By submitting the application, project sponsors commit to the proper use of funds and to providing detailed interim and final financial reports.
