Description
Rural Development Funding Guidelines (FinR-LE) support projects in Bavaria that contribute to strengthening rural areas. Funding is provided for initiatives in the fields of infrastructure, agriculture & rural development, regional promotion, as well as urban development & urban renewal. Both public institutions and private individuals, interest groups, and associations can receive grants in the form of subsidies. The goal is to improve the agricultural structure within the framework of integrated concepts, taking into account spatial planning, nature, environmental and climate protection, as well as demographic developments. In particular, rural living, working, recreational, and natural spaces are to be sustainably secured and further developed.
Eligible costs include planning and expert fees, construction costs for infrastructure measures, expenses related to land consolidation (surveying, marketing), land and soil acquisition, compensation payments, as well as planting material and landscape maintenance. The subsidy rate ranges from 25% to 75% depending on the measure. Prerequisites include, among others, the initiation of a land consolidation procedure, coordination with municipal landscape, traffic, and water planning, the creation of an integrated rural development concept, and proof of the participants' community’s own contributions. Applications can be submitted at any time before the start of the planned measure to the responsible Office for Rural Development. Application documents include a project description, a cost and financing plan, a site plan, the integrated development concept, and a resolution from the responsible committee.
