The focus is on projects to improve energy efficiency, climate protection, and renewable energies in aquaculture, as well as measures that revitalize rural areas. The initiative supports both existing enterprises and innovative approaches in fish farming and processing to secure the long-term competitiveness of the industry.
Eligible expenses include investments in production facilities, nature-friendly pond management and environmental services, as well as the processing and marketing of fisheries and aquaculture products. Submission documents include, among others, application forms No. 4.1 to 4.3, the performance protocol, the pond register, and the funding guidelines. Applications must be submitted by March 31 of each year. Responsibility lies with the Thuringian Ministry for Environment, Energy, Conservation and Forestry; processing and approval are carried out by the Frauenwald Forestry Office.
