Funding objective
Support for qualification measures for employees in companies to adapt to technical, economic, social, climatic, and demographic changes, as well as to make up for training deficits resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic.

Description
Companies, educational institutions, public sponsors, and associations in Bavaria receive a subsidy opportunity with funding measure 1.3 to strengthen the professional qualification of their employees. the Free State of Bavaria and the European Social Fund Plus (ESF+) support systemic further training measures with up to 50% of the costs of external service providers. The goal is to adapt competencies to technical, economic, social, climatic, and demographic changes as well as to compensate for deficits caused by Corona. The funding is available on a rolling basis and can be applied for at any time digitally via the ESF Bavaria 2021 online portal, as long as budget funds are available.
Eligible for funding are small and medium-sized enterprises of all legal forms as well as partner organizations that bring together at least five eligible participants for a minimum of 20 teaching units (of 45 minutes each) per project. Participants must be employed by the applying company and reside or work in Bavaria. Only expenses for external service providers – including travel costs according to BayRKG – are eligible for funding, with a maximum project duration of 24 months. Excluded are, among others, basic IT courses, language offerings without professional relevance, and internal product developments. For the application, a project description, financing plan, tender documents, participation certificates, and consent declarations must be submitted.
