Description

The Josef and Luise Kraft Foundation offers non-profit organizations, educational institutions, public agencies, and private individuals throughout Germany the opportunity to implement projects in the field of elderly care. Initiatives supporting indigent and vulnerable elderly people as well as institutions engaged in research and teaching that address forward-looking aspects of elderly care are funded. Grants are available in the form of financial support and, if applicable, material contributions. Applicant institutions must demonstrate how their project fulfills the foundation’s statutory objectives and which measures will ensure sustainable impact. The quality of the overall planning and a convincing effectiveness concept play a central role in this regard.

Applications can be submitted informally at any time. Required are a detailed project description with objectives, a comprehensive timeline including milestones, a transparent financial plan, as well as evidence of sustainability and risk analyses. External reviewers and the foundation evaluate each submission based on the following criteria: alignment with the foundation’s goals, sustainability and effectiveness of the measures, and sound financial planning. Upon positive decision, regular reporting is expected to document the funding progress and to submit all supporting documents upon completion. This funding opportunity creates space for innovative concepts in elderly care and supports committed initiatives nationwide in enabling dignified living conditions for older people and pioneering research.
