Description

The funding fund "Children's Rights and Participation" in Thuringia supports non-profit organizations, associations, foundations, and municipal institutions in implementing projects that sustainably enrich the living environment of children and adolescents up to 18 years of age in the Free State. With a total annual amount of €35,000, the Thuringian Ministry of Labor, Social Affairs, Health, Women, and Family funds initiatives with grants of up to €10,000. Priority is given to initiatives that practically convey children's rights, make democratic processes tangible, and enable genuine participation from the outset. Special attention is given to projects that serve as models for professional development in youth welfare and strengthen political participation in everyday life – for example, in daycare centers, schools, or youth work.

Interested project sponsors must direct their activities towards children and adolescents in Thuringia and operate as a recognized independent youth welfare provider, non-profit association, foundation, federation, or municipal institution. The review is ongoing, with decisions made according to established evaluation criteria such as the dissemination and implementation of children's rights, early involvement of the young target group, and exemplary impact for the federal state. Applications can be submitted at any time; no specific deadline is set. Through clear guidelines and transparent selection, successful concepts are specifically promoted and contribute to giving children and adolescents an effective voice in societal decisions in everyday life.
