Funding Opportunities in the Anniversary Year (200 Years KIT)

In the anniversary year 2025, the KIT Foundation in Baden-Württemberg consolidates its funding activities under the guiding principle “Shaping the Future – Research | Teaching | Transfer”. Sustainable and innovative projects in the fields of research & innovation, education, training & further education, science, and digitalization are supported. Applicants can be foundations, public and non-profit institutions, as well as educational institutions. The goal is the targeted support of outstanding research projects, forward-looking teaching formats, a globally networked innovation culture, and a dynamic academic life at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT). Funding is provided as a grant and is continuously available to ensure maximum flexibility for long-term commitment.

Contribution options include endowments to the principal fund, unrestricted donations, and earmarked grants for STEM projects and the Deutschlandstipendium at KIT. Funding recipients include, besides KIT itself, researchers and students, as well as school pupils within the framework of the initiatives Make Your School! and Science Camps@TRIANGEL Kids Lab. The KIT Foundation invites partners, funding institutions, and private individuals to help shape the anniversary year and strengthen KIT’s academic excellence through diverse donation formats. Submission of applications or donation requests is possible at any time, offering all participants the opportunity to sustainably support attractive educational and research projects.
