Description
The Pill Mayer Foundation’s Intercultural Dialogue Award honors outstanding cultural projects across all artistic disciplines – from music and literature to theater, dance, and film, as well as visual arts, museums, and exhibitions. Open to applicants nationwide and internationally, this award targets individuals, non-profit organizations, interest groups, and other associations that promote intercultural exchange among children and youth through creative forms of expression. The award aims to publicly recognize flagship projects that enable sustainable dialogue between cultures and to support them through a monetary prize. The foundation particularly honors initiatives that serve as role models and convince through their level of innovation, artistic value, and long-term impact.
Interested project leaders are invited to submit a detailed project outline in German or English by mid-2026, supplemented by a brief description and responses to the following criteria: level of innovation, distinguishing features, artistic value, and qualifications of the initiators. The jury decision is made by the foundation’s board of trustees in consultation with the advisory council. A prize of approximately €1,000 is expected to be awarded, subject to the foundation’s financial situation. Application documents must be submitted by email; submitted documents will not be returned. The Intercultural Dialogue Award sends a strong signal for openness, diversity, and intercultural cooperation and offers artistic actors a platform to creatively connect children and youth.
