Description

Since its founding in 1994, the OLB Foundation has been dedicated to the sustainable development of the Weser-Ems region. Its focus is on supporting charitable projects that strengthen cultural diversity, scientific innovation, and environmental and climate protection in Lower Saxony. Creative cultural and media projects are supported as well as initiatives in the areas of children & youth, social affairs, and animal welfare. Thanks to the profit-sharing model "OLB Glückssparen," net proceeds are continuously channeled into projects that promote social cohesion and provide new impetus for the northwest German region.

Eligible for funding are registered associations, educational institutions, or other non-profit organizations based in the Weser-Ems region. Grants are awarded as subsidized financing and are particularly suitable for projects in the fields of environmental/nature conservation, energy efficiency, research & innovation, as well as work & social affairs. Interested initiatives can submit applications on an ongoing basis, with the fulfillment of the charitable purpose and the regional location being decisive. Through a straightforward application process, the foundation offers non-profit actors diverse opportunities to unlock local potential and set long-term impulses for the region.
