Description
Since 2024, the TARGOBANK Foundation has been initiating one to two thematic funding rounds annually, enabling non-profit organizations based in Germany to implement innovative project ideas in the fields of environmental and climate protection, health protection, and financial education. With the goal of strengthening sustainable development opportunities and equal opportunities, the foundation focuses on measures that prioritize the protection of natural livelihoods, the promotion of physical and mental health, as well as the imparting of economic competencies. Only institutions that can provide a valid tax exemption certificate and whose projects are aimed at long-term, sustainable impact participate in the funding rounds. Selection is based on thematic focus, project format and duration, sustainability, geographical emphasis, and the non-profit status of the applicants.
Funding applications are accepted exclusively within specified deadlines via the foundation’s online form. Funding is provided in the form of project-related grants; own funds may be contributed but are not mandatory. Ineligible costs include, among others, long-term personnel expenses (except project-related fees), ongoing administrative costs, pure acquisition costs without project context, as well as short-term one-day events. Interested organizations can find all details regarding application procedures, evaluation criteria, and exclusion reasons in the funding guidelines. Currently, there is no open submission round; future deadlines and focal points will be announced in due time on the TARGOBANK Foundation’s website.
