Funding Scholarship of the Meininger Architectural Monuments Foundation for Music and Art Students from the City of Meiningen

The Meininger Architectural Monuments Foundation supports outstanding students in the fields of music and art from Meiningen and its surroundings with a two-year scholarship. With a monthly grant of €75, the initiative promotes excellent academic achievements as well as special artistic commitment. During the funding period, the scholarship holders have the opportunity to present selected results in a public concert or exhibition, thereby actively contributing to the cultural life of the region. The foundation aims to provide young talents with a firm anchor in their hometown while simultaneously strengthening Meiningen’s artistic profile in the long term.

Eligible to apply are private individuals pursuing studies in music or art, demonstrating excellent academic records and proving their connection to Meiningen or the immediate vicinity. Students in a second degree program may also submit their documents. Required are a curriculum vitae, a project description, academic transcripts with grade reports, and references. Selection is based on academic performance, artistic engagement, and connection to the city of Meiningen. Written applications must be submitted by September 30 of the previous year. Funding begins in January of the following year and lasts for a total of 24 months. This scholarship makes a valuable contribution to securing the cultural next generation and offers committed artists a platform for their first public performances.
