Description
The Wanderjugend Foundation offers nationwide micro and regular grants starting at €200 for all groups of the German Wanderjugend, including local groups, state associations, state working groups, as well as the federal level. Applications up to €200 can be submitted at any time through a simplified procedure and will be decided within four weeks. For funding amounts over €200, applications must be submitted by October 31 of the previous year. Eligible measures include activities in the areas of children and youth, sports, environmental and nature conservation, social cohesion and democracy, work & social affairs, culture & media, as well as energy efficiency and climate protection. Membership in a unit of the German Wanderjugend is a prerequisite.
Funding is provided for innovative, forward-looking, and creative projects that bring the guiding principles of the German Wanderjugend to life and promote both the quantitative and qualitative strengthening of the organization. Special attention is given to voluntary engagement, international encounters, as well as initiatives for the recognition and motivation of young leaders. For the application, in addition to the completed application form, a project description, a detailed financing plan, and subsequently a proof of use and report must be submitted. The foundation thus supports exceptional ideas of youth hiking, promotes sustainable nature experiences, and contributes to strengthening social cohesion.
