Description
The state funding for wastewater disposal in the urban water management sector in Vorarlberg supports investments in the expansion, construction, and renovation of wastewater disposal and sludge treatment facilities. Since January 1, 2013, public institutions, cooperatives, companies, as well as natural and legal persons can apply for grants without time limitation. The focus is on municipal communal facilities, local network systems, and technical measures for climate protection adaptation. With a project duration of up to 36 months, operating costs and planning services are supported as well as construction measures in accordance with the latest state-of-the-art technology. The funding rates range from 13% to 50% depending on the measure and are based on ecological compatibility, economic efficiency, and current funding catalogs of the state department for water management.
Particularly funded are investment costs for the construction and renewal of wastewater conveyance and treatment plants, operating costs of wastewater disposal, as well as planning and construction supervision services. Excluded are internal installations, administrative activities, financing costs, and the acquisition of other properties. Prerequisites include a public interest, a legally valid official permit (if required), and the submission of the application before the start of the measure.
