Description
The funding for Architectural Heritage – Monument Preservation is aimed at owners of listed properties in Vorarlberg and supports measures for the care and preservation of historical cultural assets. Both individual measures on residential and commercial buildings, churches, city walls, and ensembles as well as projects for old town preservation, streetscape maintenance, and the development of architectural heritage are eligible for funding. Eligible applicants include private individuals, companies, non-profit organizations, and public institutions that have obtained approval from the Federal Monuments Office prior to the commencement of work. Continuous submissions are possible, ensuring flexible project planning.
Eligible costs include substance-preserving expenses for monument-relevant trades with a funding rate of 15% to 30%. Excluded are sanitary, heating, installation, electrical, and insulation work, disposal or demolition services, as well as fees for architects and construction managers. Applications must include a brief description of the planned architectural measures along with the implementation period, detailed cost estimates for each measure, and the statement from the Federal Monuments Office. Following a positive funding commitment, payment is generally made after completion of the work and submission of all invoices. The funding is based on the principles of economic efficiency and appropriateness, is administered through the cultural budget of the state, and significantly contributes to preserving Vorarlberg’s cultural heritage for future generations.
