Funding (special educational measures) – van Gils Foundation (Haus St. Gereon)

The van Gils Foundation from North Rhine-Westphalia annually supports special educational measures at the CJG Haus St. Gereon as a non-profit organization, which would not be feasible without additional funds. Through its grant program, disadvantaged children and adolescents are promoted in their personal and social development and gain access to projects in the fields of social affairs, education, work & social services, as well as training and further education. Continuous financial support creates individual learning and experiential opportunities that contribute to strengthening self-confidence, teamwork skills, and creativity. The board of trustees, composed of experts from the church and youth policy, ensures sustainable allocation and guarantees that the funds reach precisely where they are urgently needed.

Only non-profit organizations that organize educational offerings for young people at Haus St. Gereon are eligible for funding. Applications can be submitted at any time, allowing initiatives to respond flexibly to new needs. In addition to traditional workshops and educational trips, therapeutic, sporting, or cultural projects are also eligible measures. The foundation values transparent decision-making processes and relies on close cooperation with educational professionals.
