Description

The German Equestrian Sports Foundation promotes the nationwide acquisition of deformable obstacles for eventing riding clubs and organizers in equestrian sports within the framework of its program "Riding Better with SAFETY." The goal is to significantly reduce the risk of rotational falls and to enhance animal welfare. Innovative MiM safety elements, including delivery costs, are funded through a 100% grant. This measure thus makes an important contribution to the modernization of tournament infrastructure and the implementation of FEI recommendations for contemporary cross-country course design.

Only non-profit organizations, interest groups, and clubs are eligible for funding and may apply for funds at any time on a continuous basis. Prerequisites include the completed application form (available as a PDF), the study of FEI recommendations or professional consultation with an expert, as well as the commitment to comprehensive documentation of the site of use, frequency of use, and photo analysis of the deployed safety elements. The planned and actual use, obstacle locations, and the quality of the documentation are evaluated. Required documents, in addition to the form, include a cross-country course sketch with obstacle markings, justification for the order, and proof of the FEI manuals. This transparent structure invites interested parties to invest specifically in safe tournament equipment and thereby contribute directly to risk minimization in eventing.
