Promotion of Waste Management in Tyrol

The Environmental Protection Department of the State of Tyrol provides grants for innovative measures and projects in the field of waste management. The focus is on initiatives in the areas of environmental and nature conservation, education for sustainable development, energy efficiency, and climate protection. In addition, training and further education initiatives related to waste prevention can be supported. Funding is provided, among other things, for public relations, environmental education, and used clothing collections with the aim of raising awareness for sustainable resource use and implementing practical approaches to waste reduction in the region. Support is granted based on the Tyrolean Waste Management Act and the General Funding Guidelines of the State of Tyrol.

Interested parties include municipal, private, and public institutions, associations, organizations, as well as companies based in Tyrol that wish to implement projects on waste prevention, environmental education, used clothing collection, or public relations. A meaningful project description with relevance to waste management is required for the application. Additionally, information on the project scope, duration, and any other existing funding sources must be included. Funding can be applied for informally at any time before the project begins, thus offering high planning security. Submission is done informally via the Transparency Portal of the State of Tyrol. After positive approval, funds are disbursed based on verified original receipts, proof of payment, and a final project report. This grant effectively supports the conservation of environmental resources and the establishment of sustainable structures in Tyrol.
