Description

The non-profit foundation Aktion Wandlungswelten supports independent non-profit organizations nationwide that are dedicated to the care, rehabilitation, and integration of sick, socially disadvantaged, mentally ill, as well as children, adolescents, and adults threatened by or living with disabilities. With its foundation assets, it funds projects that enable equal coexistence and strengthen the self-realization, skill development, and social participation of these groups. Applications can be submitted continuously, provided the organizations are based in Germany and pursue charitable or non-profit purposes within the framework of the Social Code (SGB), the Thuringian School Act, or the Vocational Training Act.

A wide range of measures are funded in the fields of social affairs, health, children and youth, engagement for social cohesion and democracy, work, culture, research & innovation, science, as well as education & training. The focus includes, for example, the establishment and operation of sheltered housing with comprehensive pedagogical, social, psychological, and medical care; the establishment of outpatient, day-care, and inpatient rehabilitation facilities; initiatives to create jobs; as well as community cultural and art projects. Furthermore, the foundation supports scientific studies aimed at improving the quality of care and promotes further training measures for professionals. Independent non-profit organizations with innovative approaches and sustainable concepts are invited to submit their projects and thus make a concrete contribution to an inclusive and self-determined life.
