Description

The Alexander Brochier Foundation continuously supports charitable projects as well as individual initiatives that effectively assist disadvantaged children and young people in Nuremberg and the Czech Republic. Eligible for funding are non-profit organizations, public institutions, and private individuals offering remedial education, educational and participation programs for physically or psychologically burdened young people. The foundation awards grants without fixed deadlines and provides funds to strengthen school and social integration through targeted training and further education measures. The focus is on promoting education, social participation, and engagement for democratic cohesion in urban neighborhoods as well as in state-run homes in the Czech Republic.

The funding priorities lie in establishing remedial educational institutions in the Czech Republic and taking on district sponsorships in Nuremberg. For example, the foundation supports family-oriented children’s homes in rural areas near Prague and initiates model projects for traumatized young people. In Nuremberg, the foundation is active in districts with a high proportion of refugee and socially disadvantaged families and finances learning support, parent courses, cultural offerings, and sports activities. Interested project sponsors may submit applications at any time. After reviewing the funding requirements—particularly the project’s relevance to child and youth welfare at the Nuremberg or Czech location—the board decides promptly on the approval. The open submission option enables creative initiatives that contribute sustainably to equal opportunities and social cohesion.
