Description

Since 1989, the Andreas-Ernst-Lohff Foundation has been supporting elderly, needy master butchers nationwide as well as their widows within the framework of old-age care and livelihood. Furthermore, it promotes professional development in the butcher’s trade by providing financial grants to apprentices as well as journeymen and masters (advanced and continuing education). Private individuals from all over Germany can submit applications continuously and benefit from practical support that combines social commitment with the strengthening of artisanal skills.

Expenses for livelihood, vocational training costs, and participation fees for training measures are eligible for funding. To apply, a project outline (maximum two pages), a detailed cost breakdown or cost estimates, and a financing plan must be submitted. Applications can be submitted at any time using the downloadable form. The foundation grants the approved funds for the calendar year of approval; reapplication is possible if the project has not been implemented within this period. The transparent funding structure of the Andreas-Ernst-Lohff Foundation helps ensure that both the old-age care of needy craftsmen and the future of young talents in the butcher’s trade are secured in the long term.
