Description

Since 2019, the Atelierhausstiftung Architektur has annually supported promising young talents in architectural studies and the construction trades. In Berlin, Hesse, and North Rhine-Westphalia, it provides a grant of €150 per month per scholarship to architecture students at TU Berlin, TU Darmstadt, and RWTH Aachen. The funding is aimed at individuals, educational institutions, and non-profit organizations in the fields of education and training, research, innovation, as well as culture and media. Key selection criteria include outstanding academic achievements and a well-defined personal focus in the course of study – for example, a long-term planning project, research interest, or a clearly outlined professional vision. A project duration of twelve months and a funding rate of 50% enable targeted support during an academic year.

In addition to the Deutschlandstipendien, the foundation awards funding to non-profit architecture magazines and initiates international stays for young craftsmen. Publications such as ARCH+ have already been strengthened, and programs for carpenters in timber construction training have been established. Applications are processed through the respective Deutschlandstipendium procedures of the universities; deadlines and modalities are determined by the participating institutions. Through its commitment, the Atelierhausstiftung Architektur makes a significant contribution to supporting students and young professionals on their career paths and promotes interdisciplinary dialogue between theory, practice, and international exchange of experience.
