Funding by the Audi Environmental Foundation

The Audi Environmental Foundation supports innovative environmental projects nationwide that combine environmental education, the use of modern technologies, and the protection of natural resources. The non-profit funding is aimed at organizations that develop and implement sustainable approaches in the fields of environmental/nature conservation, climate protection, and energy efficiency. The focus is on projects that serve as model initiatives with exemplary character and make a measurable contribution to a future-oriented human-environment system. The foundation emphasizes the transfer of innovative technologies into practical environmental protection measures and supports initiatives that address ecological challenges through interdisciplinary concepts. In particular, proposals that link environmental aspects with educational objectives and thus create long-term added value are promoted. Proof of non-profit status in accordance with §52 para. 2 AO is an indispensable prerequisite to benefit from the foundation’s expertise and resources.

The funding initiative offers an ongoing opportunity to submit project proposals, which should present the objectives, content, duration, costs, and involved partners in a detailed project outline (3-4 pages). This project outline serves as the basis for a thorough review of the implementation concept, its degree of innovation, and relevance to sustainable environmental and climate protection. In addition to the focus on technology-based measures, approaches that advance environmental education and contribute to the holistic development of nature and environmental conservation are also supported. Through this targeted funding, a significant impetus is given to the development of environmentally compatible technologies and feasible, education-oriented measures. The foundation thus supports projects that are pioneering not only ecologically but also socially and serve as an inspiring example for further non-profit initiatives.
