Funding of the Bavarian Sports Foundation

The Bavarian Sports Foundation specifically supports young elite athletes from Bavaria through its grant program. The funding objective is to create a performance-sport-friendly environment and to facilitate the balancing act between intensive training and the development of professional or academic prospects. Applications can be submitted by private individuals at any time, provided they have residence in Bavaria, membership in a Bavarian sports club, and proof of status as a young elite athlete. This continuously offered program targets young talents who, in addition to financial resources, primarily rely on professional coaching by trainers and high-quality equipment, while simultaneously wishing to continue their education or training in Bavaria.

Specifically funded are costs for trainers, the acquisition of sports equipment, as well as the placement in training, study, and employment positions in Bavaria to ensure sustainable career planning. The basis for every application is a fully completed and signed application form, which must be submitted together with proof of residence and club membership. The program managers continuously review the documents and make timely decisions regarding the grant. Due to the ongoing application process, rigid application deadlines are eliminated, allowing tailored support at any time. With this holistic funding, the foundation paves the way for a successful symbiosis of elite sports and professional future.
