Funding of the Bavarian Red Cross – Regensburg Red Cross Foundation

The Regensburg Red Cross Foundation of the Bavarian Red Cross, as a public-law foundation, supports charitable initiatives in the city and district of Regensburg. With the aim of sustainably strengthening the common good, regional projects in elderly care as well as public health care are supported, along with training and further education measures. The range of funding instruments includes grants for education and training, scholarships, cooperations between non-profit organizations, as well as the initiation and support of public events and exhibitions. The foundation is guided by the seven fundamental principles of the Red Cross Movement – humanity, impartiality, neutrality, independence, voluntary service, unity, and universality – and promotes impulses for opinion and experience exchange among the population. Eligible for funding are non-profit organizations, public institutions, educational establishments, as well as private individuals with a registered office or place of activity in the Bavaria region, especially in the city and district of Regensburg. Funded are projects and measures that have a clear connection to elderly care, public health care, or education and training, or that advance charitable cooperations and events. Applications can be submitted at any time; a formal funding application including project description, financing plan, and proof of charitable purpose forms the basis for the decision by the foundation board. With its continuous grant offerings, the Regensburg Red Cross Foundation makes an important contribution to regional health care, care infrastructure, and the qualification of volunteers as well as professionals in the region.
