Description
In Tyrol, the state supports needs-based midday care by supervising school-age children immediately after the end of classes until 2:00 p.m. and providing them with a hot lunch. Funding is exclusively granted for personnel costs for caregivers in the form of a one-time subsidy ranging from €3,600 to €6,000 per employed specialist and school year, depending on the number of opening days. The measure must be implemented at least three days per week, take place in suitable premises, and generally be open to all school-age children with their main residence in the host municipality. At least five registered children per day as well as a defined staff-to-child ratio ensure quality care. Changes in opening days are taken into account proportionally.
Interested parties include municipalities, municipal associations, natural and legal persons, legally recognized churches, and public law corporations, provided that no after-school care is available in the municipality or existing capacities are insufficient. The term runs from 01.11.2022 to 31.08.2027. Funding requirements include, among others, the reliability of authorized representatives, reasonable parental contributions without profit intent, and demonstrable agreement with the host municipality. Funding applications must be submitted electronically via an online form no later than three weeks after the start of the measure. Required documents include a current criminal record extract, a concept with an overview of needs, timing, and costs, a declaration regarding other funding, as well as proof of the applicant. Decisions are made in the order of complete receipt and availability of budgetary funds. This offer improves the compatibility of work and family life and sustainably expands the care services in Tyrol.
